Open Access Procedure:
In order to see everyone in the library, we need to be as efficient as possible. Here is what I would like to do to make the library experience enjoyable to everyone. Let's see if this work! (I am always trying to build a better mouse trap!)
1. On your scheduled day for open access, please give library folder to each student (folder will have name and barcode) before you come to the library.
2. Please try to be on time as we do not have a lot of time. I need to fit two classes into one period. I appreciate it and know that it can be difficult, but try your best.
3. Students will have approximately 20 minutes to borrow books.
4. Once they have books they like, they can get online and checkout. If they are not checked out before time is up, they put the books in their folder and put in a crate on the library desk.
5. Library monitors will continue checkout at lunch and deliver the rest of the books before the end of the day.
6. Teachers distribute books and collect folders.
7. Library monitors pick up bins the following day.
8. Cycle repeats every other week.
I hope this plan works. We will see!
Thanks for all you patience and understanding,
Mr.Richford
